Palm Beach Gardens Nuclear Medicine Scanning is one of our numerous services that we provide patients with at our facility Medical Diagnostic Scans. By taking part in this procedure you are helping to prevent medical conditions requiring emergency care in the future. When our medical team conducts the nuclear scan, a special camera is used to take images of any radioactivity present in the organ being examined. Before doing the scan you will receive a radioactive tracer injection into the area being examined. Board certified doctor, Dr. Pevsner and his staff will look for signs of normal and abnormal activity in the organ being tested. With this scan, we are able to see how the brain, liver, and heart function, as well as the blood being sent to the heart muscle. Your scan will examine whichever organs your physician suggests in the referral.
The Palm Beach Gardens Nuclear Medicine Scanning is not a painful procedure so you don't have to worry about it causing you any more discomfort than what you already feel. Our goal is to find out exactly why you have pain or discomfort, and to give your physician a recommendation, or advice on treatment. Dr. Pevsner and his medical staff will do all they can to make you are comfortable as possible. We want you to get on the road to recovery and live the healthy life you deserve to live. We realize how stressful this time is for you, so feel free to ask any questions you would like. Contact us today with any questions or to schedule your appointment.
